The Danish Red Cross (DRC) is
looking for a blended finance consultant to join its newly established Humanitarian Innovative Finance Hub. The Hub
is dedicated to the design and development of alternative financing models that
leverage various financial mechanisms (e.g., blended finance, impact bonds,
etc) tailored for national societies across the Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC)
movement.

Position
description
As a blended finance advisor, you will:
- Support Red Cross Red Crescent partner societies to
identify and assess potential blended finance investments/ opportunities that
can help bring our solutions to scale
- Support the design and implementation of effective
solutions for financing sustainable impact (cat bonds, health bonds,
debt/equity, carbon credit, etc.)
- Analyse risks and returns
- Conduct organization capabilities assessment
- Identify new business opportunities in collaboration with
RCRC partners, industry, researchers, and other stakeholders
- Perform due diligence
- Report on progress and performance for projects/ tools
- Contribute to team as well as organizations knowledge
initiatives, including communication products to share information and lessons
learned on blended finance projects with internal and external stakeholders
About you
- Masters or MBA in Business, Finance, Economics,
International Affairs, or related
- Min. 2 years of experience in finance, insurance, impact
capital investment, sustainable investment analysis and modelling, debt and/ or
equity products loans, and equity
- A proven track record of designing and/ or implementing
finance solutions
- Strong working knowledge of impact finance trends and
investment vehicles
- Extensive experience with cross-sector partnerships
- Prior experience grant writing or winning grant awards
- A good understanding of the international development
funding sector
- Knowledge about ESG and the Sustainable Development Goal
- Good presentation and facilitation skills

when others see obstacles. Not only you think outside the box, but you are able
to influence the thinking of others and get them on board with your ideas. You can easily navigate in international work
environment and are ready to travel often.

The Danish Red Cross HQ is located in Copenhagen. You
will work closely with the International Department and will refer to the Head
of Global Partnerships.
The blended finance advisor position is a full-time
position of 37 working hours per week.
Salary and employment conditions will comply with Danish
Red Crosss collective bargain agreement with HK and AC and will be between DKK
46,500 and 48,500 including allowances and pension depending on experience and
qualifications.
